BRAD MCCULLOUCH TURNS IN STACKS OF PETITIONS TO THE CHAIRMAN
On November 28th, the first day for filing, Brad McCullouch turned in hundreds and hundreds of signatures to the Chairman of the State Republican Party to have his name placed on the ballot. McCullouch said, “the groundswell of support we have received has stunned even me.” He went on to thank the people for placing him on the ballot. “It takes a law enforcement prosecutor to do a law enforcement job. It’s just that simple.”

Law Enforcement Experience for a Law Enforcement Job.
America is at a crossroads as a society. Most voters would have a difficult time recalling so much economic, political or social upheaval—or being affected by so much crime. It’s also true of the 198th Judicial District. Across the nation, criminal defense attorneys have become skilled at beating the system. They often present a defendant as a victim—either of our society or of his own upbringing. As our representative, the 198th District Attorney stands between us and those criminals.
Violent sexual assaults—especially against children—continue to plague our families. Theft and murder have infested our beautiful Texas region.
Especially troubling is the Mexican Drug Cartels’ ability to infiltrate our communities via narco-trafficing corridors—I-10, US 83, US 377, and others. As the First Assistant Prosecutor for the 198th District, Brad McCullouch has become well-acquainted with the Cartels’ activities. Combined with the growing violence on the border, these are worrisome times, indeed.
The 198th District is huge. Relieving the backlog of cases in all six counties must be a priority. It’s no small task. As law enforcement will attest, our district has numerous popular illegal drug corridors. The District’s Prosecuting Attorney must be tough-minded, but he must also reflect the values of our region. And he must run a District Attorney office efficiently. In a time of economic downturn, reduced County revenues, and the hardships faced by many, the District Attorney must eliminate duplication of effort with law enforcement and implement cost saving strategies that bring revenue to lagging County treasuries.
With everything at stake, it’s no time to go easy on criminals.
It’s time for the man who will defend us, our homes, and our property.
It’s time for a fiscal conservative—a Christian family man whom the criminals already fear.
Brad McCullouch is that man—the right man for times like these.
